Helen and Murfee

The Awesome Three Some

There are three friends who's names are Helen Regina and Kathy.
Regina who take care of Helen with Cerebral Palsy which she calls C.P.
You should see them. Regina left Helen for awhile and then they met up with
one another on the street. And they became friends again.
When the awesome three some goes out together you could not imagine what
they do especially Helen the person who has C.P. She has so much fun with friends.
They can be serious when they have to be. If either one of them needed anything
from their friend Helen. She would be there for them and vice versa.
And that is why they call themselves THE AWESOME THREE SOME!

Smile

We may not see one another as much as we like too.
But that does not mean I do not think of you.
And I wonder how you are doing day by day.
Poetry is my way of bringing a smile your way.
And I hope my smile will always stay with you.
Because no friend of mine should not go without one of Helen'smiles.
You can call that Helen's style.

Written For My Nephew Mark

I want to say to you congradulation on this day.
You are moving on to bigger,and better things what ever they may be.
All you will ever need i will power and alot of determination.
And you will do fine. Take it from me.
The secret is to believe in yourself because this is one lesson you should not ever forget. Just do your best and you will be a big, success at anything you do.
Because what is important is you and being everything you want to be.
Here is a poem saying your Aunt Helen believes in her nephew.
Where ever you may go I want you to know my pride will always contine to grow and grow for you. And one more thing Aunt Helen loves you too!

Opinions

I am tired to explaining myself to you.
You will not leave well enough alone.
Even though I am doing very well on my own.
You refuse to believe I have opinions and decisions to make too.
Sometimes the decisions are hard, but weather they are right or wrong they are mine.
You may wine carry on about the things I believe in.
It is no sin to have ny own opinions.
So this is my opinions let things be.
Because I am tired of feuding with you.
Let me be me!!!

Attitudes

All my life I have tried to make a difference.
But nobody seems to listen or care.
For instance, when I go downstairs in my apartment building
people stare as though I am not even there.
They only see my wheelchair not me and then they talk as though
I cannot understand them. But I do.

What is much worst is over the phone when thet cannot understand what
I am saying they just hang up on me. I get so frustrated I scream.
It's not only me, they do it to other people like myself too.
No matter what we say or do people will not change their attitude of you.
So grin and bare all those stares because we are here and we are not going
anywhere. We belong here just as much as you do.
I suggest you think twice before you judge us because we have enough obstacles
to overcome without dealing with peoples attitudes.
Believe me this is so true.
And goes for our families too.

Rose

There is something I have to say.
Valentine's day come and goes my love for you wii always grows and grows
like a flower, a rose. You have to water it to make it grow and that is
how I should treat you. Shower you with all my love and my respect
because you deserve the best. After all I do not want my rose to wilt away.
I want my Rose to stay and brighten up all my days.
Consider my love as sunshine for you.
And it will always be shinny through.
Remember I love you! Oh yes I do.

The Lasting Friendship

We have been through alot in the eight years.
Laughter and tears we share from day to day.
All the crap had to put up too, yes how true.
And we are still hanging in there today.
Let them say what ever they may.
We will not let our relationship s;ip away.
I hope we have many more years to come.
Only God knows what our plans are for each and everyone of us.
As long as we love and trust one another. What is all the fuss?
If it was not meant to be then you would not be here.

Last Chance

My Last Chance to make peace with you.
I am tired of going in and out of your lives.
After all I am not a revolving door, neither am I trash you throw away
and ingore. I may have different ideas and different ways of doing things
then you but, please do not ingore them.
Just because you do not agree with me.
Does not mean we should let our relationship end.
So let's not pretend any more and open another door.

I Am A Person Too!

I am physically challenged unable to walk and talk
as freely and clearly as you.
But that does not stop me from doing the things I like to do.
Such as going horseback riding and going to the Red Sox games
and writing poetry too. But my frustrations continue.
Like a sample task would take you two seconds to do but, for
me it would take longer to do.
And waiting for your P.C.A. to take care of you.

Here comes my family supposd to be there no matter what but when
I say the truth or give my point of view, they confuse with anger
and then they start a dispute. What am I suppose to do?
For an example when I visit my sister and brothes at their homes
and they get me settled in my chair and then they offer me a drink.
I get a sip or two and then they process to talk among themselves.
They would deny it but it is all true.
And they say they know what I go through!
I have feelings and needs because I AM PERSON TOO!!!!
